The new syllabus (for first examinations in 2013) no longer has a separate section on Introduction to Economics. Instead these 'foundations of economics' are treated as overarching concepts that can be examined in all four sections of the course. Nevertheless, it is good to become familiar with them before introducing the four key sections.
